Description

Women’s Australian Master of The Amateurs is organized by the Australian Master of The Amateurs International Selection Committee, held annually (next: Southern Golf Club, Melbourne). The format is 72-hole stroke play (four rounds), with a cut after two rounds (top 36 and ties) who advance to the final two rounds. The women’s field size is capped at 84 elite amateur golfers, selected by exemption, ranking, and an in-person qualifying event; international and state junior champions are exempt. All entrants must hold a valid federation membership and WAGR. Registration closes late November, and players are selected by ranking, resume, or discretionary invitation. The event awards points for world and national amateur rankings and provides significant pathways and exemptions to high-profile professional and amateur tournaments.
